Technical Workshop: A required “Technical Workshop” (not a rehearsal) will be held. Remember, you, or the majority of your group, must attend the required Technical Workshop or you will not be permitted to perform in the show.  The Workshop will answer all your questions and provide a chance to be on stage and test sound.

Follies Technical Workshop Information

Eligibility: Must be the act chosen as the representative for your Local Games. Each member of the act must submit an individual State Finals registration by August 1. Each non-solo act must have a Group Leader who is a participant and should have an email address. Each group leader/solo act must submit a SilverArts Information Form and music with her/his registration by August 1. A separate Information Form not required for online registrations.

Stage: You will be performing on a 35 ft wide, 25 ft deep raised stage. All acts must enter stage left.

Awards: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place for solo, small group, & large group in each Performing Arts sub-category will be presented at intermission and the conclusion of the Show.

Details: Exceeding the 3-minute time limit will result in disqualificationTiming begins with the first note of music or the first movement visible to the audience and ends with the final note/movement of your act. 

Tickets: $10

We plan to stream the Show live on the internet.

Cheerleader Showcase

The Cheerleader Show will be featured as a part of the “Celebration of the Games” at the Cary Arts Center in the theater.

Cheerleaders Show Information

Eligibility: Must be the squad chosen as the representative for your Local Games. Each member of the squad must submit an individual State Finals registration by August 1. Each squad must have a Head Cheerleader who is a participant and should have an email address. Head Cheerleaders must submit a SilverArts Information Form and music with her/his registration. A separate Information Form is not required for online registrations.

Stage: You will be performing on a 35 ft wide, 25 ft deep raised stage.

Awards: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place for small, medium, & large groups will be presented immediately following the Show.

Heritage, Visual Arts & Literary Arts Show

When: Entries must be delivered between 10:00 am - Noon on Thursday, Sept. 19. The Show may open for a Sneak Peek, Thursday 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm. The Show will be open Friday, Sept. 20 from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm. Entries must be picked up between 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm on Friday, Sept. 20. View Essential SilverArts for more info.

Eligibility: 1st , 2nd, or 3rd place in the sub-category in a Local Games qualify. A photo of the entry and the SilverArts Information Form must be enclosed with Registrations. A separate Information Form is not required for online registrations.

Details: The SilverArts Show will be displayed throughout the Cary Arts Center in galleries and display space on the first and second floors.  Elevators and stairs are available throughout the building.  Literary pieces will be available for the enjoyment of all in the library on the second floor and on the NCSG website gallery.

Literary Artists:  Literary artists submit all needed copies at the time of registration and are not required to attend the Show.  Medals will be mailed to literary artists who are winners and do not attend.

Entries: Name of artist, title of piece, sub-category, and name of  Local Games must appear somewhere on each entry.   

Awards: Medals (1st, 2nd, and 3rd places per sub-category) will be available at Awards at the Cary Arts Center beginning on Friday at 9:30 am.
